  • Sail for the regatta, not just one race.

  • Know when to take your medicine and consolidate or take a risk.

  • Everybody is going to make mistakes, it's often he who makes the least mistakes wins.

  • Remember boat speed is king and has huge implications on risk taking. I.e if you're faster than everyone else just stay with the fleet and mow them down. If ya ain't you’re looking for opportunities and gambling to keep up.
